Believe the reviews, everything was excellent. Truly enjoyed the bed, it was exceptionally comfortable. Bathroom was excellent, offered a shower, a hairdryer, and bath sheets. Good bar was available.

Everything here was perfectly fine. It was nice to have a seating area and a dining area on the terrace.

Location was absolutely stunning, close to everything we needed and the view of the historic walls was mind-blowing. The apartment itself was super comfortable, with a lovely seating area out back to chill and relax. The nearby pub, The Gillygate, was a jaw-dropping bonus for those who enjoy a few drinks. We definitely want to return and will recommend to friends!

In our opinion, it’s a fabulous base for travelling to York. The apartment has convenient and magnificent so close to the shared garden and the city walls...

The apartment is so cozy, with a separate bedroom and a comfy seating area. I loved lounging in the living room - it felt like home! Plus, having a hairdryer in the bathroom was a lifesaver for me.

Personally, I found the lack of a kitchen in the apartment a bit disappointing. But hey, some people might still enjoy the tea/coffee maker and microwave provided.

This place is a great choice in a fantastic setting, right in the middle of the city and close to the city walls.

our recent stay in york at the cottage by the walls was exceptional. the location was superb, just a short stroll to the york minster and train station. the apartment was spacious, clean, and quiet, providing a relaxing haven. we even had a lovely terrace overlooking a beautiful garden.

We had a great stay in York, right next to pubs, restaurants, and bars. The facilities, including an electric kettle, a microwave oven, and central heating, were enjoyable. The private bathroom was fine. The shared garden was magnificent and great.

Great location, just a short walk to the main attractions and train station. The apartment was spacious and clean, with modern amenities. The kitchen and shower room were well-equipped, and the view from the patio was excellent.

There were a few negatives during my stay. The bedroom had a wafer-thin duvet and some of the pillows were poor quality.

We got great value for our money, with a lovely room that was clean, well-furnished, and equipped with all the necessary appliances. The location was perfect, just a stone's throw away from the city walls, and the staff treated us with great hospitality.

The food for breakfast could have been better with more options.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Cottage By The Walls. The location was fantastic, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and even a small supermarket nearby. The cottage itself was quaint and charming, with a lovely view of the patio and beyond. The kitchen and shower room were modern and well-equipped. Despite being in the city center, the property felt peaceful and rural, with the beautiful sound of the minster bells in the background. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. I could have stayed longer if I had the chance. I highly recommend this place for a wonderful stay in York.
